Kanaan's Kronicles ... 2 Years 9 Months Update!

Kanaan is 2 years and 9 months old.

He weighs 24lbs 6oz and 34.75in tall.

His favorite show is "Aardvark to Zucchini" and "Brainy Baby".

He is wearing size 3 or 4 disposable diapers. 4 works better for absorbency, but he still fits in size 3. We usually buy size 3 because Eden uses that size too and you get more size 3 diapers for the same price as size 4.

He wears 2T/24m clothes. The pants fall off him and are a little long, but 18m pants are too short. In shorts he can wear 12M or 18M.

He wears size 5 shoes.

He loves to sing, "ABC's", "Jesus Loves Me" "Little Drummer Boy" "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" etc

His favorite thing right now is for us to sing "Rock a Bye Kanaan" and drop him into his crib when we say "and down will come Kanaan cradle and all."

His new "word" right now is "probably" all though he says "probly". I'll say "Where's your cup?" and he'll say "In the playroom probly"

In his show "Aardvark to Zucchini" each episode focuses on 1 letter of the alphabet and they talk about different things that start with that letter and go through places or names in the Bible that start with that letter. On the letter C episode they talk about Canaan. We had just watched the E episode that mentioned Eden, so when I saw it was the letter C episode I said "Canaan will be on this one" and Kanaan said "Not C for Kanaan, K for Kanaan, Not C."

As soon as we get in the car he wants to read books and gets upset if we ride in Daddy's car because he doesn't keep books in his car like Mommy does.

We haven't started potty training yet, but the potty chair is in the bathroom. Every time I go to the bathroom he wants to sit on his potty chair. We've been talking about how Mommy and Daddy wear underpants and use the potty instead of diapers. Once we are done with our kitchen remodel, I might start working on potty training.

He can count to 20 and recognizes and names numbers 0-9. He also recognizes and names the alphabet.

He has been using a lot of "time" words like tonight, tomorrow, today. He also says "to later" instead of just later, because the other words have "to" infront of them.
