Bar-B-Cups

I've recently tried a recipe that was super easy and super yummy! There are a couple of versions of this recipe floating around the internet that you a store-bought bbq sauce, my recipe did not. You definitely could use 1/2 c of a store sauce if you'd like but I found it just as easy this way.

Bar-B-Cups
1 pound ground beef or turkey
1 can refrigerated biscuit dough
1/2 c ketchup
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1/2 tsp chili powder
1 c shredded cheddar cheese

Preheat oven to 375 and spray muffin tins.

Cook ground beef until browned, drain off fat.

While beef is cooking mix ketchup, brown sugar, vinegar and chili powder. set aside.

Once beef is browned, add sauce mixture and heat until bubbling.

Flatten biscuit pieces and place one in each greased muffin cup.

Add 1/4 cup of meat mixture to each cup and top with cheese.

Bake 18-20 minutes until biscuits are browned and cheese is melted. Enjoy!!

  1. We've been making these too - they're Dave's new favorite food! Our are 1 lb hamburger, 1/4 cup BBQ sauce, 1 T. brown sugar, top with cheese. Bake at 400 for 12 minutes.
I think they'd be good with taco flavored meat too, and serve with lettuce and tomatoes!

  2. Taco flavored would be good! I just saw on Once A Month Mom's blog today they made a pizza version of them too.
